Our padded leather half check collars are NON-ADJUSTABLE, designed to be taken on and off over the dog's head, and are therefore unsuitable for dogs with a large head-to-neck ratio.

Each collar is handmade to order so you can create a collar to match your specific requirements with a choice of width, neck size, colour and even fitting type.

Traditional flat leather dog collar with check chain: non-adjustable.

Top leather cut from high quality shoulder hides.

Soft cowhide padding, folded over for rounded edges to prevent hair shaving.

Strong stainless steel or brass chains.

Machine stitched along length of collar.

Handstitched around fittings.
When ordering please choose the EXACT CIRCUMFERENCE of your dog's neck.

The neck should be measured fairly snugly without leaving excessive room for fingers underneath. We will then take approximately 2-3 inches off the measurement given to make the leather portion of the collar. This means that the leather part of the collar will not meet around your dog's neck enabling the check chain to be used effectively.
