MEASURING & SIZING GUIDES
All of our products are handmade to order, individually created based on the information provided to us. It is therefore crucially important that the measurements you give us are as accurate as possible. If you are unsure please contact us prior to placing your order by either calling us on 07774 626677 (speak directly to the maker, Ann) or emailing us at sales@annrees.co.uk.

Collars

When ordering a collar please choose the EXACT CIRCUMFERENCE of your dog's neck, NOT the overall length of the collar you require.
The neck should be measured fairly snugly, preferably using a flexible tape measure, without leaving excessive room for fingers underneath. Appropriate adjustments will then be made by us depending on the type of collar ordered. More specific information on the adjustments we make can be found on each individual product page.

Coats

We make two styles of coat - square and hound - and have built up an extensive collection of patterns over the decades with which we are able to clothe most dogs no matter how big or small. That's not to say that we can't make further 'tweeks' where required.
Square Shaped
-
Most suitable for dogs that are rotund or solid in frame and dogs which hold their tails up directly from the dock.
-
Best shape for dachshunds (special patterns)
-
The only measurement we usually need is 'A'. The others are only required if your dog is a highly unusual shape.
Hound Shaped
-
Most suitable for dogs which are slender in frame, noticeably narrows from chest to belly, and do not hold their tails up directly from the dock.
-
Suitable for many non-hound breeds.
-
The only measurement we usually need is 'A'. The others are only required if your dog is a highly unusual shape.
Coat shape and sizing guidance
We have been making dog coats for close to 20 years now and have built up a bit of an eye for 'what coat fits what dog'. However, without seeing your dog in the flesh we cannot give you iron clad advice on the coat size you will need but we have put together the list below to try to help you with a general idea.

These lists should not be a substitute for actually measuring your dog.
Please please please always measure your dog carefully using an 'actual' tape measure!!

* = Both styles of coat may be suitable for these breeds depending on how your particular dog is build
[Bespoke] = We have great patterns for Dachshunds and Miniature Dachshunds but an email or phone call would be advised for the other breeds just to make sure that we have enough measurements to ensure the coat fits.
